Hello! We’re so excited to share this with you !
This is our first post on our blog named "muses and book". we will just introduce ourselves and talk a little about the aim of our project :
Who are we?
We are three students in our third year of an English degree, and this blog is the heart of our latest project: a deep dive into female authors and feminist perspectives in literature. We love reading books, discovering new authors, new genres and writings.
Our main goal?
With this blog, we aim to highlight female authors who have shaped storytelling and explore how classic tales can be reimagined through a feminist lens. By reviewing and recommending books, we will delve into feminist retellings of well-known stories such as fairy tales, myths, and literary classics, and where female voices are at the heart of the story and challenge traditional narratives. Our reviews will not only focus on these reimaginings but also celebrate a wide range of books written by women. The aim of this blog is to introduce you to new authors and lead you to reflections that reshape the way you see familiar stories.
About the blog ...
We chose to name it "MusesAndBooks". Muses because in every book we will talk about, women are at the heart of the story. Women are the muses that inspire authors. The name also echoes the fact that we mostly share books about woman and written by women.
So,whether you're passionate about feminist literature or just looking for your next read, we hope you will like our reviews !
Stay tuned for our first review ...
here for books, women, discovery and 11rine.
